For those parents who bear great hope for the splendid future of their children, they will spare no efforts in offering their children with what they can. At least two causes account for the lack of etiquette in the daily life. One is that the high living pressure deprives the parents of the time and energy to teach their children to abide by the proper manners. Since the parents have to spend more time on their work, they have to spend the little time left on teaching their children techniques about how to survive better in the world. The other reason is that with the computer revolution, more young people communicate with others online and depend too much on the typewriting to express themselves, leading them to be lack of manners suitable for the face-to-face communication.

A good shift is that since more and more Americans become aware of the importance of the etiquette, some parents begin to invite some teachers for the additional lesson in this aspect. The children begin to take lessons about the table manners, meeting manners, good behaviors, the confidence, communication skills etc. It seems that the etiquette industry has become prosperous again and various institutes are engaged in offering courses about etiquette.
